We welcome proposals of every kind — and we mean that literally. This is a young field with few established conventions, and several of the arrangements that have mattered most to the project began as a message from someone who was not sure whether it was worth sending.

Write to us about any of the following, or about something not on the list:

• Research and collaboration. Joint work, replication, secondary analysis, criticism of our methods, or a study you think should exist. If you work on language demography, communication networks, migration, or education policy, there is probably common ground.
• Institutional cooperation. Governments, statistical offices, universities, foundations, and international organizations — including embedding a standardized question in a survey you already run, which is by far the cheapest way to put your country on the map.
• Assessments. Companies, cities, and regions wanting to measure their own multilingualism and internal connectivity.
• Data and API access. Licensed datasets, custom country reports, and programmatic access. An API for partners is in development as part of Linguistic Planet — organizations interested in early access are welcome to say so now, while the interface can still be shaped around real requirements.
• Sponsorship and advertising. Underwriting a named study, or reaching an audience genuinely interested in languages through our platforms.
• Media. Journalists and data desks are welcome to use published figures with attribution; we are glad to explain in advance what a number does and does not support.

If you are proposing an assessment or a partnership, it helps to include the population or headcount involved, how linguistically diverse you expect it to be, and your timeline. Diversity, far more than size, is what determines the scope of the work.
